Fifth Grade Students Meet Spanish Fork City's K9 Dogs

Tuesday, March 22,  Brockbank fifth grade students had the opportunity to meet Spanish Fork Police Department's K9 dogs, "Maverick" and his trainer/handler Officer Dave Spencer and Officer Wyatt Davis and his dog "Ice Man". Students got to see some of the things Maverick and Ice Man are trained to do in helping in drug detection and apprehension of criminals. Officer Owen Leifson  who teaches NOVA (was DARE) to the fifth-graders wore a padded suit so students could see some of Maverick and Ice Man's training.

Student Appreciation Week

Brockbank's awesome PTA is putting on a Student Appreciation Week March 21-25. Some fun activities for students next week.

Supercharged Monday: Start of Superhero BINGO. This will go on all week. Classes get to play and win some fun prizes.

Turbo Tuesday: Wear your favorite superhero shirt and decorate a superhero mask.

Power Packed Pancake Wednesday: PTA is providing breakfast for all students at 8:00 am. Put on a special cap and wear a hat today.

Dads and Donuts Kick Off Bookfair

Brockbank Elementary held their annual spring "Dads and Donuts" on March 15. The students, along with their dads, moms, grandparents, or other special family members were able to come and browse for books through the book fair and then enjoy donuts and milk. Bucky, Brockbank's mascot, made a surprise visit and posed for pictures. Brockbank students and faculty would like to thank the PTA for sponsoring this fun morning.

Kristel Peterson Receives Grant from Nebo Education Foundation

One of the goals of the Nebo Education Foundation is to fund worthwhile projects in the district that provide resources to enrich student learning. The Nebo Education Foundation functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses.

President Brian Rowley said, “The funds donated by our generous benefactors enable our fine educators to enhance both traditional and technology based methods of teaching. We could not provide this assistance without the donations we receive from our communities, corporate, and private donations.”

Amy Sanford is Brockbank's Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations Amy on this well-deserved award! She is an amazing teacher who works tirelessly to support her students and other teachers on her team. She is the organizational guru on our team and we collaborate like superstars because of her influence. Amy has a kind, fun-loving demeanor and we are all happier when she is around sharing funny stories. She dedicates her time, energy, and caring attitude to helping her students thrive each year.
