Last week in kindergarten we talked about real versus fiction and read lots of stories that were pretend. We talked about imagination and how fun it can be to imagine things. We wrote about what we would do if we had a dragon, what we would do if we were magic, and got to read and even act out fun stories like Abiyoyo and The 3 Little Pigs. The kids had a lot of fun with the story of the 3 Little Pigs!

In kindergarten for Friday Fun Day we read books in the dark with flashlights. We also decorated our Valentine’s bags. Love these Brockbank kindergarteners!

 

Parenting is an art, and sometimes, even the most experienced parents seek guidance and support. In an effort to empower parents and equip them with effective tools for raising responsible and resilient children, the Nebo School District is thrilled to announce its upcoming virtual workshop, "Parenting the Love and Logic Way."

Mia Montover is Brockbank's Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations Mia on this well-deserved award! Her first grade team says about her, "Mia is such a devoted teacher. She is always planning, helping, and leading us as a team as well as her students. She is data-driven and keeps us organized with spreadsheets to reach our students in the best way possible. Mia keeps us on track as the math guru and reading instruction master. We are grateful for all the work she does to lead our team and support us."

Kindergarten students celebrated 100 days by dressing up like they were 100 years old. They did 100 exercises, took a 100 step walk, built a 100 piece tower, did a 100 day magic trick with 100 pennies that turned into a dollar bill, measured how full a cup would be with 100 drops of water, ate 100 snacks, and much more! Such a fun day!

At Brockbank we have a program where deserving students earn "Bronco Best" cards. Students earn this honor by being their BEST at Brockbank! They are doing their BEST when they are: Building a community that cares, Engaging in lifelong learning, Setting goals for growth and success, and Taking ownership for their actions.

This month students learned about when bad things happen try and make it into a positive.
