Welcome to Brockbank
Mission Statement
Write a kind message to a student, teacher, technician, custodian, parent or anyone else. Then we will all be able to see it at our school. Let's spread the kindness! (messages are on the televisions around the school).

Validating the Emotion Without Condoning the Behavior
Dealing with concerning behaviors can be difficult for parents of children with disabilities. Many parents struggle knowing how to truly validate or connect with their child during a crisis without first resorting to some kind of negative consequence or punishment.
Join us to learn life-changing parenting techniques that will show you how you can emotionally connect with your child all while teaching them appropriate behaviors.
Thursday, January 19 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Register to attend via Zoom https://bit.ly/NSDEMOTION
We Love Our Principal
Our favorite principal, Mr. Nate Holt, was awarded the Rural Principal of the Year! The school district defines it as “a principal of a rural school who has made significant improvements to overcome the special challenges given the remote nature and size of the school.” We are super proud of him! He's done, and continues to do, amazing things for the students and faculty at Brockbank! We asked the staff to write something they appreciate or admire about Mr. Holt. The following are just a few of the responses:

This session covers the following:
Second Grade Sang Christmas Songs and Decorated Gingerbread Houses
Second-grade students at Brockbank Elementary celebrated the Christmas season by presenting a special program on Friday, December 10, to their parents and grandparents. The students enjoyed entertaining their families by singing several Christmas songs. After the program, the students and their parents returned to their classroom to decorate gingerbread houses. It was a fun day!
Third Grade Students Perform Christmas Program
For a few weeks, Brockbank third grade students have filled the halls of the school with cheery Christmas music. On Tuesday, December 20 the third grade classes put on a Christmas program for the rest of the students and then that evening for their parents and families to enjoy. The students did a great job!
Fifth Grade Students Present Three Plays
In December the 5th grades presented three holiday readers’ theatres.
Mrs. Sanford’s class performed Charles Dickens’ classic ghost story “A Christmas Carol.”
Mrs. Peterson’s class performed “How Murray Saved Christmas” – a funny tale about a New York deli owner, Murray Kleiner, who reluctantly agrees to make toy deliveries when Santa is knocked out by a Jack-in- the-Box with a walloping punch.
Mrs. Bailey’s class presented Dr. Seuss’s popular children’s book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
