This weeks Brockbank staff spotlights are Mrs. Shelley Thomas and Mrs. Michaela Swan.

Mrs. Shelley Thomas teaches transitional kindergarten. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork. Shelley has three daughters and one son. She loves listening to music, tole painting, and photography. Some of her favorites are the color blue, caramels, steak, the Twilight series movies, the musical group - Celtic Women, the book, "Pride and Prejudice", eating at Outback, and BYU sports. Shelley's favorite vacation destination is to Hawaii! Something she said no one knows about her is that when she was 8 years until she was 15 years she figure skated. Shelley has been teaching for the past 22 years. She taught preschool in Virginia for 5 years, kindergarten 6 years (5 of those teaching transitional kindergarten at Brockbank), and she also taught seventh grade 1 year at Payson Junior High. Before teaching kindergarten she taught special education classes for 10 years at Brockbank. Shelley is always concerned about everyone else's feelings and we are so glad she is at Brockbank! Mrs. Michaela Swan works with students as a STAR tutor. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork and they have one daughter and two sons (all of which attend or attended Brockbank). Michaela likes watching her kids play sports, riding with her husband on his motorcycle, reading, spending time with family, and playing games with friends. Some of her favorites are the color orange, Jordan Almonds, the group Aerosmith, any book written by Nicholas Sparks, the movie, "The Notebook", and eating at Carrabba's Italian Grill. Michaela likes softball, baseball, and swimming and her favorite teams are which ever team her kids are playing for at the time. Disneyland is her favorite vacation destination. Something she says no one knows about her is that she has never broken a bone! This is Michaela's first year as a STAR Tutor but she is not a stranger to Brockbank, she has been a great PTA mom and was a sub for a couple of years. We really enjoy having Michaela at our school!
