Life in Future Training

Friday, September 16, we had our first BFF lesson, BFF stands for Brockbank Friends and Family! We had a lesson on the L.I.F.T (Life in Future Training) process. Learn a skill, Set a goal, Do the reps, Track your progress. We had Kayla Labrum (power lifter) come to our school and teach us all about reps. How she had to start small and gradually add more weight and more reps over time. By doing the reps, we can get better the more we practice with any skill we are trying to accomplish.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Visits Brockbank

On September 12th, the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium came to Brockbank second graders. It was a fun experience for the students to learn about different habitats that are found throughout the world. The visiting group not only taught us about animals, but even brought some for everyone to look at. The students were able to see and touch a Madagascar Cockroach, a rainforest tree frog, and a giant cockroach. It was great to see the students engaged in their learning with such excitement! Thank you Loveland Living Planet Aquarium for visiting our second grade!

She’s a Nebo District BTS Arts Integration Specialist in Music (whew, what a long title!) This means that for the next 6 weeks, she will be working with classroom teachers on using MUSIC to teach other subjects (like math, spelling, writing, science, etc.) She is very excited to be at our school!
