Brockbank Spotlights

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Brockbank Spotlights for this week are Anna Herman and Marilyn Jones.

Anna Herman is a second grade teacher here at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Payson and are expecting their first baby boy soon. Some of  Anna's favorites are the color purple, cookies (Crumbl), Dr. Pepper, Almond Joy candy bars, and eating at Texas Roadhouse. She likes the book "Rain Reign" by Ann M. Martin, and listening and watching anything Disney.  So of course, her favorite vacation destination would be to go to Disneyland!

Turtle Races In Kindergarten

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

In Kindergarten our classes learned about Sea creatures and oceans and pirates. We talked about sharing and teamwork and cheering each other on. We also talked about how we are able to do hard things and not give up! We raced turtles today and had a lot of fun cheering everyone on and it didn’t matter if we won or lost!!

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Visits Second Grade

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

On September 7th, the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium came to Brockbank 2nd graders. It was a fun experience for the students to learn about different habitats that are found throughout the world. The visiting group not only taught us about animals, but even brought some for everyone to look at. The students were able to see and touch a cockroach, gecko, tree frog, and boa constrictor. It was great to see the students engaged in their learning with such excitement! Thank you Loveland Living Planet Aquarium for visiting our 2nd grade!
