Anna Herman and Marilyn Jones

Brockbank Spotlights for this week are Anna Herman and Marilyn Jones.

Anna Herman is a second grade teacher here at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Payson and are expecting their first baby boy soon. Some of  Anna's favorites are the color purple, cookies (Crumbl), Dr. Pepper, Almond Joy candy bars, and eating at Texas Roadhouse. She likes the book "Rain Reign" by Ann M. Martin, and listening and watching anything Disney.  So of course, her favorite vacation destination would be to go to Disneyland! When she is not teaching she likes to watch movies and bake yummy sweets! She said one thing that not everyone knows about her is that she loves to travel! She is quite the world traveler.  Anna was a Brockbank Bronco when she was in elementary school! This is Anna's first year teaching second grade, before that, she taught sixth grade for 1 1/2 years, also at Brockbank. We are so happy and lucky to have her here!

Marilyn Jones is the secretary technician and my right hand. She lives in Salem with her 2 daughters and son. All of Marilyn's kids attended Brockbank. Some of her favorites are the color turquoise, sushi, chips and salsa (she makes the best salsa), french fries, the Sip-N drink "Jill's" (diet Mt. Dew with coconut, peach, creme, and mango puree), gum, shock tarts, pink starbursts, and soft caramel. Marilyn's favorite songs are "Just Breathe" by Pearl Jam and "Livin in the Moment" by Jason Mraz; books - "Outlander" and "The Secret Life of Bees"; movies - "Top Gun" and ``Shawshank Redemption". Marilyn likes to spend time with family, travel, hike, listen to music, and cook. She is an avid Utes football fan. Her favorite places to eat are Tsunami and Root'd Cafe.  Her favorite vacation destination is Costa Rica. Something not everyone knows about Marilyn is she teaches Feng Shui for Salt Lake Community College, she also teaches Spin at the Springville Rec and Vasa. Marilyn is a great secretary, she helps to keep our school running. Not only is she a secretary but sometimes she is a nurse (she has bandaged a million scraped knees, blistered hands, taken care of lots of sick kids, and wrapped a few broken bones until mom or dad could get there).  Marilyn makes sure that everyone that walks in the office feels welcome!
