Students learn how to classify animals | 1.04 MB |
Brockbank recently had a representative, from Monte L Bean Life Science Museum come and talk to first and second graders. As part of a school outreach program, museum educator, Josh, came and gave students the opportunity to explore how and why scientists classify animals. Students got to group animals in different classifications like water, land, and air - and small, medium, and large, these were only two examples of ways the students classified several animals. Josh also brought some live animals with him, an albino frog, tarantula, and a python snake for the students to see. It was a great learning experience and the students really enjoyed it!.
