Brockbank sixth-graders had an amazing visit from Peggy Eddleman, an up-and-coming author for middle grade books. Not only did she share how much time, dedication, and perseverance it takes to come up with a book idea, but also how specific you need to be to pitch your idea to book agents. She is writing a trilogy to be published by Random House and brought a sneak peak video of the "book trailer" for the first book titled, "THROUGH THE BOMB'S BREATH". Since this book is not scheduled to be released to bookstores until September 24, 2013, Brockbank sixth-graders are one of the very first to even know that it is coming! They all can't wait to get our hands on a copy and escape into a great adventure! Thanks to Peggy Eddleman for inspiring future writers of Brockbank Elementary!
