Brockbank Red Ribbon Lunch Recess Activity, "Don't Let Drugs Bite You!"

Tuesday, October 7,  during lunch recess the sixth-grade Red Ribbon Student Council took out the parachute and played a shark game with the second graders. The theme was “Don’t Let Drugs Bite You!” Each day student council members play a game with a different grade. Monday, they played Frisbee with the first-graders. The theme was "Fly Away From Drugs!"

 


 

Brockbank Students Participate in D.A.R.E. Activity

Brockbank fifth-grade students learning Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) training taught by Officer Bryan DeWitt of the Spanish Fork Police Department, recently got to participate in an activity. The activity was on the potential dangers of being intoxicated and it's effects on the person's reflects, judgement, and overall ability to do simple tasks. The students were given goggles to wear that simulate being under the influence and asked to ride a scooter through cones and throw a football.

Brockbank Red Ribbon Week "Take a Stand Against Drugs!"

October 6 - 10, 2014 is Red Ribbon Week at Brockbank Elementary. Many exciting events have been planned for the week. Monday, Oct. 6, was "Take a Stand Against Drugs!" The students were given a red  wrist band to wear all week and pledge to stay drug free. A drawing will be held each day with four t-shirts (2 for grades Kindergarten-2 and 2 for grades 3-6) will be given but to be included in the drawings the student has to have their wrist band on. 

Brockbank Kindergarteners Enjoy Apple Day!

Friday, October 3, Kindergarten students at Brockbank Elementary celebrated Apple Day at school. The students participated in several different activities including tasting apples in several different forms; cut in slices, applesauce, pie, and juice; deciding which color of apple they like best, doing math and science activities involving apples, and illustrating their own apple books. It was a fun educational day that the students enjoyed.
