Brockbank kindergarteners recently celebrated making it through "100 days of school". To celebrate this achievement they had a fun filled day of activities centered around the number 100. They earned an official "100 Day" certificate by completing the following activities; counting 100 objects, taking a 100 step walk, doing 100 exercises, completing 100 seconds of silence (at least tried to), having a 100 day magic trick, discussing what they could eat 100 of, and there was a 100 drops of water test.

Brockbank's PTA is continuing with classroom competitions each month to see which class can bring in the most "Box Tops!" Students are encouraged to bring their box tops in to his/her class. Each month the class that has the most box tops will get to keep the traveling trophy in the class and get their teacher's picture on the "Box Top Hero" hanging in the hall by the office.

Congratulations to December's winning class - Miss Clarissa Putnam's kindergarten classes!

Brockbank Students Contribute to "Project Teddy Bear"

In December, Brockbank students joined in with the Bank of American Fork and Spanish Fork High School's Letterman Club in collecting stuffed animals for at risk children in local treatment centers. Brockbank students brought in new or gently used stuffed animals to help with this cause.  "Project Teddy Bear" was a great success! A total of 18,238 stuffed animals were collected. We are very proud that a few of those came from our very own students!

Brockbank Students Can Make A Difference!

Brockbank Elementary is collecting "Bucks for Blankets". The "Kid Power" sixth-grade student council members along with their adviser, Mrs. Terri Jensen want to teach the students that " kids can make a difference in the world". Brockbank is partnering with the Spanish Fork High School by bringing in money to buy fabric to make blankets to give to Primary Children's Hospital. The object is  not to go door-to-door but to bring money that they have earned by doing chores at home and then donating it to a worthy cause.

SCHOOL HEALTH

IS YOUR CHILD TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL?

You are probably very aware of the fact that there are a lot of cold and flu germs that circulate in our community at this time of year. This same situation can be found throughout the state and even across the country.
