School Community Council
The purpose of the School Community Council is to involve parents or guardians of students in making decisions at the school level, that include, improving the education of students, expending School LAND Trust money, and increasing public awareness of policies, funding, and educational excellence. These decisions are all based on the most critical academic needs of our students. As a council we will review and revise a School Improvement Plan (SIP), plan expenditures with LAND Trust funds, develop a Safe Walking Route for students, and look at professional development, district, school and community programs that will be beneficial to the education of our students.
Our most critical academic needs for our students include:

· Gifted and Talented
Trust Land Funds planned expenditures for the 2017-2018 School Year:
Funds allocated to Brockbank: $58,298.00
Salaries for intervention specialists/tutoring $39,378.00.
Professional and technical services $ 4,500.
Professional development textbooks $ 600.
Take home and leveled libraries $ 600.
Software for reading $ 2,500.00
Technology $ 3,000.
Repairs and Maintenance $ 200.
