Hello, Brockbank Families!

I hope you enjoyed the extra couple of days this weekend!  I appreciate you coming to SEP Conferences and hope that if you were not able to make it, that you will contact your child's teacher.  We love celebrating the great things that our students are doing, here at Brockbank.

We are excited about our service learning opportunity!  Our Kids Count Committee has chosen to make blankets for children at Primary Children's Hospital.  Students and parents can contribute money that will go towards fabric to make the quilts.  This activity will go until the end of January, so if you have any spare change, send it with your child! These blankets will be a great comfort for the children in the hospital, and will be a wonderful project for our students!

Although our year-end testing seems far away, we are preparing for it now!  We are needing parent volunteers to help with math.  (Some of you signed up at SEP conferences, and we will be in contact with you) Your  help is needed in any class, not just your child's.  If you are interested in helping, please call the office.  If you can help 1 day or 5 days, we would love to have you in the school!  The following schedules are as follows:

1st grade-Mon.-Fri. from 8:45-9:45

2nd grade-Wed. and Thurs. from 11:00-11:40

3rd grade-Mon.-Fri. 12:30-1:30

4th grade- any day from 12:00-12:30

5th grade-Tues. and Thurs. from 12:00-12:30

6th grade-Mon.-Fri. from 12:00-12:30.

The following is from our great nurse, Aubrey Jolley, along with to following attachments

Dear parents and guardians:

This letter is to inform you of an opportunity for your child(ren) to receive free dental care through the “Give Kids a Smile” (GKAS) program.  This event takes place onSaturday, February 27 at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene.  This is a one-day event.  Volunteer dentists and hygienists will be on-hand to examine your child, perform limited procedures, and refer them for follow-up services after the event if needed. A voucher system will be used for the follow-up services, and those services will be provided at no cost to your family. It will be up to you to schedule appointments with dentists who have supplied the vouchers

If you are interested, and would like your child to see a dentist at this event, please fill out the enclosed Health History and Consent Form and return it as soon as possible.
