Kindergarten Students Learn About Rocks
Kindergarten students had such a great week talking about rocks! They learned about the three kinds of rocks: sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic. They really enjoyed painting the rocks!

We are sorry to announce that we have not been able to locate the time capsule buried on Sept. 28, 1992. We have dug and dug. 25 years is a long time and things have changed here at Brockbank. We are still trying to find it but are having no luck in finding it. We apologize to the 3rd grade class of 1992. If you would still like to come tomorrow we are planning on having a small celebration.
We would like to honor a very special lady that was part of our Brockbank family for over 23 years. Marie Hansen was a foster grandma in Mrs. Marcy Noorda's first-grade class and before that was in first grade with Mrs. Elaine Burnham. Marie was a remarkable lady, at 94 years old. She enjoyed crocheting, tying quilts, and collecting nutcrackers (which she loved showing off) she had 326 nutcrackers. At school Grandma Hansen listened to students read, count, do arithmetic and helped them with their classroom centers. Marie was honored in the Deseret News in July of 2016.
Hello, Brockbank Families!
We got a taste of the fall or even winter weather that will be coming our way! It’s a good reminder to make sure your child is dressed with warm clothing for school!
September 25 - 29 is National Box Top Week! Brockbank's PTA is going to have a drawing at the end of the week for the three classes that have brought in the most box tops. Also if students haven't brought in their summer box tops do it this week.
September 28, 1992, on a beautiful, sunny, autumn day, Mrs. Janice Nelson's third grade class buried a time capsule. This time capsule will be opened exactly 25 years from when it was buried on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10 am. Brockbank would like to invite anyone from that class or anyone else that would like to come to a short ceremony that morning.
Fifth grade students in Miss Sabrina Huyett's class recently got to do a science experiment with Miss Huyett's dad, Mr. Steve Huyett. He is a chemist and he taught the students the scientific method of using the "methylene blue" experiment.
