Kindergarten Students Try to Find Gingerbread Man
All week kindergarten students have learned about The Gingerbread Man and have read lots of different versions of the story. They wrote about where they would run if they were gingerbread characters and went on a hunt around the school searching for him. They didn’t catch him this time but he did sneak into their room and hide treats for the kids to find!

Bronco Best Students for November
At Brockbank we have a program where deserving students earn "Bronco Best" cards. Students earn this honor by being their BEST at Brockbank! They are doing their BEST when they are: Building a community that cares, Engaging in lifelong learning, Setting goals for growth and success, and Taking ownership for their actions.
This month the students learned about the Golden Rule, treating others the way we would like to be treated.
Superintendent Nielsen Visited Brockbank
All of us at Brockbank were so honored to have the Superintendent Rick Nielsen visit our school! He walked through the halls and visited classrooms. We want to thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and visit us! We look forward to his visits!
Second Grade Float Parade
Students got to create their own Macey's Day balloon floats for our Brockbank 2nd Grade Thanksgiving Parade. They did such a good job creating their floats!

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast
First grade students enjoyed a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast with popcorn, toast, Jelly Beans, and pretzels. They read the story and then watched parts of the movie to compare. It was a wonderful time!

Turkey Trouble in First Grade
Brockbank first-graders recently finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like something different instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him
How to Cook a Turkey
Brockbank Elementary is happy to share some fun ways on "How to Cook a Turkey" according to kindergarten students.
Grey Hudson says 1. Get it from my farm. 2. Put it on the stove. 3. Burn it on the frying pan. 4. Put salt and pepper and tomatoes. 5. Eat it .
Porter Mendenhall says 1. Kill with a sword. 2. Stuff the turkey. 3. Cook in the oven at 47 degrees. 4. Cook for 48 minutes. 5. Eat it (that's it).
Kaysen Kinsey says 1. Get it from the store. 2. Put it on the stove. 3. Cook it for 7 hours. 4. Put some seasonings. 5. Eat it!
Turkey Fun at Brockbank
We had a fun gobbling competition assembly to get us all excited for Thanksgiving. Each class picked a student to compete with other students in their grade. Students did their best turkey imitations (behind the curtain). The audience of students then clapped, screamed and yelled for the student they thought sounded most like a turkey. It was then up to our "celebrity judges" Dancing Debbie Davis, Turkey Tammy Thompson, and Silvia Stuffing, to make the final decision.
