The Nebo Education Foundation meets each month to discuss submitted educational grant proposals for students in Nebo School District. One of the goals of the foundation is to fund worthwhile projects in the district that provide resources to enrich student learning. Brockbank's Robin Martin recently received one of those grants.
For a few weeks, Brockbank third grade students have filled the halls of the school with cheery Christmas music. On Tuesday, December 10, the third grade classes put on a Christmas program for the rest of the students and then that evening for their parents and families to enjoy. It is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. The students did a great job!

December 11, students that met their reading goal for the previous month got invited to attend a reading reward activity. The students got a cup of hot chocolate, a cookie and got to listen to Principal Nelson read Christmas stories! Each month Principal Nelson invites students that have met their reading goal to a reading reward activity. Please encourage your child to read and to turn in his/her reading calendar!
To help everyone get in the Christmas spirit Brockbank's faculty and staff competed in the third annual gingerbread competition. The students decide the winner by voting for the gingerbread house they think is the best. Students each receive one vote placing their vote in one of the numbered tubs. Names will then be drawn out of each of the tubs and a lucky student whose name is drawn will get that gingerbread house to take home.
Make sure to check out all the creative gingerbread creations.
