Turkey Trouble

Brockbank first-graders recently finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like something different instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him.

Navy Larsen picked a rabbit for her turkey. She said on her paper, "I could be a rabbit. ee ee," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a rabbit."

Scotlyn Sperry picked a baseball player for her turkey. She said, "I could be a baseball player. I could hit the ball,"said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a baseball player."

Danica Mabey picked an elf for her turkey. She said, "I could be an elf. We have to make presents," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be an elf."

Braxton Parker picked Santa for his turkey. He said, "I could be Santa. I could hop in my sleigh. Ho Ho Ho," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be Santa."
