Brockbank students benefit from LIA program at the Spanish Fork High School. LIA is Latinos in Action which is a class designed to provide Hispanic students the way to develop leadership, citizenship, and mentoring skills. LIA students are taught writing and reading skills, resume development, bilingual speaking, work ethics and responsibilty, time management, goal setting, team work and cooperation, problem and decision making, and community involement. In order to be involved in
this class they must be invited to be enrolled based on their GPA, citizenship, dependability, and trustworthiness. LIA students are trained to mentor elementary school students. Approximately 26 LIA students come to Brockbank twice a week and work with students that need help with reading, spelling, math facts, anything that the student maybe struggling with at the time.
