Mrs. Janna Runolfson is Brockbank's Teacher of the Year for 2013-14

Brockbank Elementary is pleased to announce and congratulate Mrs. Janna Runolfson for receiving Brockbank's Teacher of the Year Award for 2013-14. Janna is a first grade teacher here at Brockbank and is currently in her tenth year of teaching.

Principal Alison Hansen says, "In all capacities I have known Janna, I have impressed by her dedication and enthusiasm for the education profession. Janna is an outstanding teacher. She believes every child is capable of success, she structures her lessons so that students on every level can achieve mastery. Her understanding of methodology and curriculum is outstanding as she plans and delivers effective and understandable lessons. Students thoroughly enjoy her class and it is evident that she is always willing to go the extra mile to help her students reach success. It is a joy to watch her teach and interact with students. Janna is respected by students, parents, and faculty at Brockbank and has a well-deserved reputation of being honest, fair, and hardworking." Janna and her husband, Brian live in Spanish Fork and they have three sons and one daughter. Janna likes reading, running, hiking, quilting, and eating peanut M&Ms (which is her favorite candy). Janna likes sports especially soccer, football, hockey, and baseball. Her teams are the Seattle Mariners and the BYU Cougars. Janna grew up in Washington and comes from a family of only girls, no brothers. Janna has an older sister and a younger sister.  Congratulations Janna, on this well deserved award!
