JaNae Wilson is Awarded the 2016-17 Horace Mann Crystal Apple

Mrs. Kristel Peterson, Principal Larraine Nelson, Mrs. JaNae Wilson and Craig Harvey from Horace Mann

Mrs. JaNae Wilson is this year's recipient of the Horace Mann Crystal Apple Award.   JaNae teaches sixth grade here at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork and have 4 daughters.  Kristel Peterson writes about JaNae, "I first met JaNae when her daughter, Elise joined my second grade class half way through the year. She was an amazing, involved mom and was instrumental in getting our gifted program up and going. Through the years I was lucky enough to teach Allison and Haley and feel lucky to call her family my friends. She finished her intern year right before I moved to sixth grade and I was hopeful she would be hired to join our Brockbank team. We have taught together for the past five years. She is a perfect team member and we work so well together. Her students love her witty sense of humor and ability to dig deeper into subjects they are interested in. JaNae spends countless hours tutoring students in math and helping them better understand concepts.  Congratulations JaNae, you surely deserve this award and many more!"
