Brockbank Staff Spotlights

Submitted by brenda.johnson on
Brockbank's staff spotlights this week are Mrs. Sheryl Wilson and Mrs. Patricia Richardson. Mrs. Sheryl Wilson works with students in our STAR tutor program. Sheryl and her husband live in Springville, they have two sons, two daughters and fifteen grandchildren. Sheryl likes spending her time with her family and since retiring from teaching she enjoys dancing with the group Jean's Golden Girls. Some of her favorites are chocolate, Bar J Wranglers, Mary Higgins Clark books, the movie "The Pelican Brief", eating at Cafe Rio, and watching football. Her two favorite teams are BYU and the San Francisco 49's. Sheryl's favorite vacation destination is Chicago, Illinois. Something Sheryl said no one knows about her is that when she was growing up she wanted to do something in law enforcement (we are glad she decided to be a teacher instead!). Sheryl has been at Brockbank her entire teaching career - 7 years as a Title 1 teacher, 20 years as a first grade teacher, and since retiring, the past 4 years as a STAR tutor. Sheryl is such a great person and teacher and we are so thrilled she wanted to come back after retiring to help our students with their reading! Mrs. Patricia Richardson is a foster grandma in Mrs. Louise Crook's second-grade class. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork. Pat has two daughters (her daughter Michelle worked at Brockbank as a computer teacher), two sons, sixteen grandchildren (several of which have attended or attend Brockbank), and three great-grandchildren. She likes music, playing piano, reading, hiking, camping, and watching her grandchildren play all sports. Some of her favorites are the color blue, Kenny Rogers, the movie, "Sound of Music". She enjoys eating seafood, orange juice, salted nut rolls, and anything at Red Lobster. She cheers for the Utah Jazz and likes baseball. Her favorite vacation destination is Disneyland! Before becoming a foster grandma, Pat worked one year in STAR tutoring, one year as a classroom aide in first grade, and one year as a classroom aide in second grade. Pat is such a sweet lady we are so happy to have her here at Brockbank!
