Brockbank spotlight is Mrs. Donna Gilger.Mrs. Donna Gilger is a grandma helper in Mrs. Laurel Koyle's second-grade class. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork and have been married for 63 years. They have one son and two daughters, they also have 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Donna likes all needle arts including quilting, oil painting, reading, jewelry making, and making tablescapes (creatively designed table arrangements or centerpieces). Some of her favorites are Almond Rocha, pumpkin cake, cherry coke, all colors (said each color enhances the others), books written by David Baldacci and John Grisham, the song, "Lara's Theme", and figure skating. Her favorite vacation would be spent visiting family. Something she said not everyone knows about her is that she was California Mother of the Year 2nd runner up two years in a row in 1988 and 1989. Said she never could outshine Hollywood life it's self and people. Before coming to help in Mrs. Laurel Koyle's class she said she was just sitting around getting old and cranky (not sure if that is true). Well whatever the reason we are sure glad she came to Brockbank.
