Brockbank Second Graders Give Ideas on How to Cook a Turkey

Brockbank Elementary is happy to share some fun ways on "How to Cook a Turkey" according to second graders. Students had a creative writing assignment which lets the students use their imagination with no prompting from the teacher as far as content, they are able to write their own ideas. Below is some ideas of "How to Cook a Turkey" by Brockbank second grade students in their writing:


Ella Crandall - First you need to get a turkey. Then take it home. Then get stuffing. Then put the stuffing in the turkey. Then heat oven then put the turkey. next put the timer on. Last take the turkey out. 
Ava Thorpe - First you buy a turkey. Then you put it in the oven for 2 hours. After that you put in a thermometer on it to see how warm it is. Then you put the plate on the table. Then forks and knives. Then after all of that put the food on the table. Happy Thanksgiving!
Kaitlyn Cloward - First you go to the store get a turkey. Then take it home and then put it in the oven for 80 minutes. Get it out when it is done. Put salt on it. Then you get stuffing to go with your turkey. Then get silverware and plates. Serve the turkey. At last eat it up but save some for a turkey sandwich the next day.
Brinlee Salgy - First get the turkey. Then get a pot for the turkey. Next get a pot full of water. Then put the turkey in the pot. Next let it cook for a couple of minutes then let it sit for a couple of minutes. Next we eat it!
Meaghan Peine - First find a turkey or buy one. Next you want to get the ingredients. Then put the turkey in the oven. Next get the turkey out of the oven. Then dress the turkey with vegetables. Next cut the turkey to pieces. Then get your family together. Last eat it with your family!
Brylee Robertson - First buy a turkey then go home and season it and then put it in the oven. Next cook it then get it out. Then invite your friends. Last eat it!
