Brockbank Holds Sixth Annual Walk-A-Thon

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Brockbank PTA along with Brockbank faculty recently held their sixth annual walk-a-thon fundraiser. It was a great success with lots of support from the students and parents. Students, along with many of their parents, walked laps around a track set up on the grass field as a way to exercise and raise money for the school. The funds will purchase document cameras for classrooms. The goal is to equip every classroom. Document cameras allow teachers to use technology to create a more interactive classroom. Prizes, pizza, snow cones, and bake sale items were available throughout the night.

Thanks to Shepherd's Eggs, Gary's Meats, Dr. Aaron Cloward, Cowboys Roadside Service (Stephanie Marziale), Barber Welding, and Circle V Meats for donating money so that we were able to get a large blow-up slide and a bouncy house that the students could enjoy taking turns on. Brockbank Elementary would also like to thank the many other businesses that were generous in their support to help our students. They were; Macey's, Sam's Club, MVP Sports, Bank of American Fork, Cal Ranch, Cary's Design & Floral, Dollar Tree, IFA, Smith's Auto, Magelby's Fresh, Wells Fargo, Trapnell Orodontics, Fresh Market, Mountain America, Intermountain Fire Systems (Keith Peterson), Arctic Circle, Sonic, Haunted Forest (Anja Ethington), Bajio, and Little Caesar's Pizza. Also a big thank you to the PTA for organizing this event and for all the volunteers, parents and teachers, that helped make the walk-a-thon a success!
