Hello, Brockbank Families!
Thank you so much for coming to SEP Conferences on Thursday! We love celebrating your child and all his/her accomplishments! We appreciate your support for our school!
This last week, our BFF activity was all about our “S” in our BEST mission statement; Setting goals for growth and success. I hope that as you reflect on your child’s accomplishments that were discussed at SEP Conferences, that you will encourage your child to set goals that will help him/her progress these next few months! I hope that reading is a top priority and that your child sets a goal to read every night. Also, I hope that you will take advantage of our Math Lab in the mornings at 8:30. Your child is welcome to come early and get help with math assignments, homework or math facts. The computer lab will be open so your child can practice with online math programs.
Popcorn Friday: This Friday will be "Popcorn Friday," at lunchtime. The cost is 50 cents/bag! Thanks to our PTA!
Family Skate Night: We are excited for our Free Family Skate Night! Bring the whole family and come skate at Classic Skating in Orem. Your child should have brought home a flyer telling you all about this fun family activity! Thanks to our PTA for sponsoring this great event! This will be Friday, January 19th. Mark your calendars and plan to come from 5:00-9:00.

We have a message from our School Nurse, Aubrey Porter:
Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in Orem they will be holding the annual Utah County Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) dental event. Volunteer dentists and hygienists will be on-hand to provide exams and perform limited procedures for qualifying children, and refer them for follow-up services after the event if needed.
To qualify for this program, parents of children between the ages of 5-12 years old who are also uninsured and from low income families must submit the enclosed Health History and Consent Form no later than February 9th, 2018. If you meet the qualifications, and would like your child to see a dentist at this event, please fill out a form that you can get in the school office, and return it to your child’s school as soon as possible, but no later than February 9th, 2018. The Utah GKAS event has limited slots available. Return this form as soon as possible to secure your child’s appointment!
If you have any questions please contact the school nurse at email@example.com or by calling your child’s school.

PTA: Parents, we need your help! We need more parents to get involved with PTA! This is such a great organization and the PTA does so much for our students, but we need all the help we can get! We know it takes a village to raise a child, and PTA makes it possible to help make this happen! PTA volunteers are there to support students progress with their academics, with activities, with needed items for our school, and with support for families. Please come be a part of our PTA! Contact Brenda Dudley for more information with how you can help!
Keep collecting those Box Tops!
