Turtle Races

In Kindergarten, Mrs. Farr's class learned about Oceans, Pirates, and Sea Animals. They read the story of the Rainbow Fish and talked about the importance of sharing and being kind with our words and actions. For their Friday Fun Day activity they had turtle races. They listened to the story of The Tortoise and the Hare and talked about winning and losing and not giving up, even when a task is hard. They also talked about being a good sport and how it is important to cheer our friends on when they are trying to reach a goal. We are all different and some things that are easy for us are hard for others. We want to put people up and not down. It was such a fun activity and the students loved it!
