Officer Olson Visits Kindergarten

Submitted by brenda.johnson on Thu, 10/14/2021 - 15:02

Officer Chris Olson, from the Spanish Fork Police Department, came to talk to kindergarten students about safety during their Safety Week. He helped them understand what a police officer’s job entails and how they keep them safe. The kids got to try on a safety vest and helmet and ask questions. Each child got a Junior Officer badge to take home. Officer Olson was fantastic! We are so lucky he came to teach us!!

On Friday, September 24th the 2nd Grade had a special visitor come to each of the classrooms. Johnny Appleseed came and talked to the students about how he loved apples and that it was his goal to plant seeds everywhere he traveled. That day the students learned about the life cycle of the apple and ate different types of apples. It was a fun-filled day.
