Submitted by brenda.johnson on Thu, 10/21/2010 - 10:02

Red Ribbon Week continues at Brockbank. On Wednesday, October 20, it was "Play Hard, Play Clean!"  The students had the opportunity of dressing up in their favorite activity or sports uniform. The students learned how important it is to remember to stay healthy and stay active, physically and mentally. A healthy mind is less likely to take drugs! For a fun activity the students and teachers went outside and walked laps around the school. The students also received a red pencil symbolizing the fact that "Brockbank Students are Too Sharp to Take Drugs!"

October 18-22, 2009 is Red Ribbon Week at Brockbank Elementary. Many exciting events have been planned for the week. Monday, Oct. 18, was "Join Hands to Take a Stand Against Drugs!" The students were encouraged to wear red and were given a red wristband to wear and pledge to stay drug free. To go along with the day's theme of joining hands together, each student made a paper hand where they then wrote or drew a pledge on it to not take drugs. In the afternoon, all the students joined hands to make one long chain around the school.

Brockbank Students Receive Birthday Book Signed by Principal Hansen

Submitted by brenda.johnson on Mon, 10/11/2010 - 14:17

Brockbank celebrates students' birthdays in a super way this year. When it is a student's special day, he/she comes to the office and selects a book out of Pricipal Alison Hansen's basket of books. Students love choosing a book of their own and Mrs. Hansen enjoys signing each book and wishing each child a happy birthday. Funds for the books have come from hosting such successful book fairs each year. Our next book fair runs Oct 22 through Oct 28 with a special kick-off Dads & Donuts on Oct 22 at 7:40 am.
