Brockbank Second-Graders Enjoy Farm Field Day!

Brockbank second-graders recently went on a Farm Field Day held at Harward Farms in Springville. Farm Field Days is sponsored by the Farm Bureau and allows second-graders to see how a farm works and to learn about different things in agriculture. Brockbank First Graders Plant Seeds and Make a "Grass Person"

Brockbank first-grade students learned about seeds and plants in class. They had the opportunity to plant seeds in cups and grow "hair" for their own "grass person". The student's cups are left at school for the students to make sure they have water and sunlight. After two weeks their "grass person" had long green hair. Before taking them home some of the students gave their "grass person" a hair cut. It was a fun way to learn about how seeds grow!

Brockbank Elementary Participates in the "Great Utah ShakeOut"

Brockbank Elementary participated today, Tuesday, April 17, in the "Great Utah ShakeOut" that was held throughout Utah, by holding a schoolwide earthquake drill. The purpose is make sure everyone is ready if a big earthquake hits the Wasatch Front. Brockbank believes it is important to be ready by having monthly fire, earthquake, or lockdown drills throughout the year. It is important to know what to
do if anything were to happen, we want our staff and students to be prepared.

Brockbank PTA Awards Teachers of the Year!

Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week Brockbank PTA members vote and award two deserving teachers $100 for being "Teacher of the Year". A teacher from K-3 and a teacher from 4-6 were chosen, this years recipients were second-grade teacher, Mrs. Laurel Koyle and fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Larina Quispe. Congratulations to these two deserving teachers!

Brockbank's PTA is the Best!

Brockbank's PTA is the best! To help celebrate "Teacher Appreciation Week", Monday morning in the faculty room there was a "Sweet Shop" set up with all kinds of sweet treats. The theme was, "We are SWEET for Our Teachers and Staff!". Fun posters and decorations filled the halls. All during the week teachers and staff were spoiled with gifts and delicious meals. With the help of Natalie Jensen, Sara Petersen and Sheryl Litster, the teachers received fun books that their students helped make for them.
