Ten Brockbank students recently competed in the Utah State Elementary Debate Tournament. This is a special achievement because this is the first year Brockbank students have ever trained in debate. Fifteen students competed at the district tournament back in February and ten of those students qualified for the state tournament. All of the students who competed at state ended with an "excellent" rating and high individual speaker points. Parents and students were extremely proud of their accomplishments. Mrs. Kristel Peterson is the faculty advisor over the debate team and worked hard to prepare and train the students. We appreciate all of her time and efforts! The debate team represented Brockbank extremely well.
