Tuesday, November 11, Brockbank Elementary had some very special visitors come to our school to honor Veteran's Day. We are so proud of all of our veterans and enjoy having them come and talk to us each year. The program consisted of the fifth-grade students singing a patriotic song, a slide show presentation, and each of the veterans introducing themselves and talking to the students. It was a very touching assembly reminding us all why veterans are so important and about all the sacrifices that they have made for us so that we can be free. Brockbank fourth and fifth grade students made Thank You cards and presented them to the veterans after the assembly. Students thanked the veterans for their service to our country. Mrs. Alexandra Dedrickson, a fifth-grade teacher, also took cards to the Central Utah Veteran's Home in Payson, and gave them to the veterans over there. Mrs. Dedrickson said the veterans were very moved to think young people love this country as much as they do.
