Addyson Clark, a sixth-grader at Brockbank Elementary in Spanish Fork, was chosen as the Daily Herald's Utah Valley Student of the Week. Addyson lives in Spanish Fork and is going to junior high in the fall.

At Brockbank Elementary, Addyson was on the school debate team where she placed third in the district tournament. Her speech was on diabetes, and she proactively shared her message with her classmates in school, as well as in her debate experiences. She was also on the school’s Spirit Council. There, she spread school spirit, helped with assemblies, created videos and lessons that focused on taking responsibility for your actions, and shared what to do if you feel you are being bullied.

Faculty and staff feel that Addyson is a sweet, hard-working student that focuses on school work and homework. They say she is an excellent student and is a great friend to everyone, fitting in with every group. She also has the ability to befriend everyone around her and make sure that no one is left out.

Addyson likes to dance and is on the competition team for Esprit de Corps. Her dance team has won several awards for their dance routines. She also plays the piano, watches baseball with her family, loves riding her bike and traveling with her family.

Addyson would like to continue her education at Brigham Young University, where she would like to further help people in the area of diabetes, either as a doctor or nurse.
