Brockbank Elementary is happy to welcome Mrs. Larraine Nelson as our new principal! Larraine grew up in the neighborhood and attended elementary school at Brockbank. She lives in Salem and has three sons and one "princess".Larraine enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to be in the water! Boating and water skiing. She also loves to do hand work and sewing. Some of her favorites are the color blue, Twix and Snickers candy, diet coke, ice cream, cookies, watching baseball and softball, her team is the SF Giants. She likes the musical group - Journey and the song "California Dreamin", all Disney moves, and lots of books especially rhyming books. Doesn't have a favorite restaurant but loves to eat out. Her favorite vacation destination is going to Lake Powell. Before coming to Brockbank, Larraine taught fourth grade for seven years and second grade for two years at Salem Elementary. Second grade for eight years and the facilitator for seven years at Mt. Loafer. She also served as a Clinical Faculty Associate for BYU for three years, and was most recently at Barnett as a Title 1 Coordinator. We are so happy to have her at Brockbank! Larraine has been here for only a short-time but the students and faculty already love her!
