We are so happy for Mrs. Laurel Koyle, who is retiring! She has taught second grade at Brockbank for 28 years. Before coming to Brockbank, Laurel taught preschool for 5 years, and first grade for 2 years at the Lake Shore School. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork, and have two sons, two daughters, and seventeen grandchildren. Laurel likes listening to country music, playing the piano, reading, attending the musical theater (Broadway), traveling, and most of all spending time with her family. She said she likes to cook when she has to, but loves to eat out; two of her favorite places to eat are Olive Garden and Joe Vera's. Laurel's favorites are the color pink, Peanut M&M's, Snickers, Mexican Food, Diet Coke with Lime, cookies, and the movie, "Beauty and the Beast." She enjoys baseball and watching the Spanish Fork Dons. Her favorite vacation destinations are Snowbird and Hawaii. Laurel has taught second grade at Brockbank for 28 years. Before coming to Brockbank, Laurel is a true "Brockbank Bronco" not only because she has been teaching here so long, but also because when she was a child she attended Brockbank. In fact, her dad was her teacher in fifth grade. Something Laurel said no one knows about her is that her dad taught her how to fly an airplane by herself before she learned to drive a car! Amazing! We are going to miss her tremendously but wish her the best in her retirement!

Mr. Byron Villaverde has been the speech therapist at Brockbank for the past thirteen years. Besides working at Brockbank he also works at Spanish Fork Junior High.  He has worked at several different schools in the district during his career. He and his wife live in Salem, and have one son, one daughter, and four grandchildren. Byron likes fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, drawing, and just being a grandpa. Some of his favorites are the color blue, Almond Joys, ribs, listening to soft rock and the oldies, the movie, "Stand and Deliver," and eating Chinese food at Ho Ho's.  Something no one knows about Byron is that he met his wife while they were both serving missions in the Philippines. Also he raises and sells registered labs.  He is a quiet man but has quite a sense of humor. We are so glad that he has been a part of our staff here at Brockbank and we will miss him but wish him the best in his retirement!Image removed.
