Hello, Parents!
I hope you are having a wonderful summer so far! The school is pretty quiet, and I look forward to having my wonderful students and staff back here, with me! Until then, I hope you are enjoying these beautiful summer days!
I want to give you a heads and let you know that we are in the process of adjusting, rearranging and dealing with some new changes that have taken place lately with our teachers. I want you to know this in case you happen to hear things about our school. I want to be accommodating as you make plans for your child for the 2017-18 school year. I am still in the process of hiring a 5th grade teacher. When that is filled, I will send you another email with information about teachers and the changes that have been made. PLEASE DO NOT SEND EMAILS OR CALL TO MAKE CHANGES FOR YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER REQUEST. I will let you know how we will handle that when things are settled.
As a district, we will be trying online registration this year. On July 1, there will be a link on our web page where you can do all your child's registration online. You will be able to pay donations, sign papers, update SIS information and not have to worry about coming in on registration day, which is Aug. 1st. However, we will still have registration for those who would like to come to the school on Aug. 1st. More information will come, but we know you are used to the mail-in registration and might be looking for those letters. Please continue to watch your email for information about online registration.
I am sending an attachment for the SFHS Jr. Drill Clinic, for those that may be interested!
As always, remember to keep saving those Box Tops! They help our school so much!
Please watch for emails and check our website. I will get information to you as soon as I can. I appreciate your patience and help as we get ready for the upcoming year!
Thanks so much!
Mrs. Nelson
