Submitted by brenda.johnson on
April was poetry month in the library. Librarian, Mrs. Peggy Rothaug held a competition challenging students to memorize poems. There were 9 different poems they could choose from and when they would memorize a poem and be able to recite it from memory they got to put their name in a drawing. The end of April, Mrs. Rothaug drew two winners - Tate Sorenson won for the younger grades and Xander Henry won for the older grades. They each recieved a book and a candy bar. There were six students that memorized all 9 poems, Parker Coe, Aeris Eastland, Brianna Jones, Isabel Pauni, Taylor Gull, and Thomas Rowley. They each received a candy bar for passing off all 9 of the poems. Mrs. Rothaug said, "It has been a really fun month in the library. I was surprised that every class got so excited about the competition and wanted to pass of poems. We have great students at Brockbank!"
