Brockbank's Speech Teacher, Mrs. Susan Johnson, helped to start and supervise an after school tennis program again this year. Mrs. Johnson has over 30 years of tennis experience and wanted to give the students something else to do inside during the winter months. Thanks to the United States Tennis Association that generously donated junior size tennis nets, foam balls, and rackets last year, and with the help of volunteers, she was able to again this year give students the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of tennis. The first session recently finished for the older grades 4-6 and the younger grades 2-3 will be starting Feb 7 and running through the end of March. Sign-ups will begin shortly - watch for the flyer. After-school tennis is a great program for students to be able to get basic fundamental training.
