Brockbank Students Enjoy Reward Activity for Raising Money for a Good Cause

Brockbank recently held their reward activity for the second grade boys and sixth grade girls for winning the school's penny war. The penny war was a competition where each grade had a girls can and a boys can and students brought in their change to raise "Pennies for Pets". The sixth-grade girls brought in the most money but the second grade boys had the most penny points. Each winning team got to pick one adult to compete in a relay in front of the student body and throw flour balls at. The second grade boys chose Principal Alison Hansen and the sixth grade girls chose Mrs. Alexandra Dedrickson. They were both great sports and it was a fun activity to reward everyone for donating to a good cause. The money earned from the "penny war" was given to the South Valley Animal Shelter to help with the cost of taking care of animals until they can be adopted.
