Brockbank Elementary is collecting "Bucks for Blankets". The "Kid Power" sixth-grade student council members along with their adviser, Mrs. Terri Jensen want to teach the students that " kids can make a difference in the world". Brockbank is partnering with the Spanish Fork High School by bringing in money to buy fabric to make blankets to give to Primary Children's Hospital. The object is not to go door-to-door but to bring money that they have earned by doing chores at home and then donating it to a worthy cause. Starting January 11 and continuing until January 29, jars have been put in classrooms for the students to put their money in.
