Brockbank Staff Spotlights!

Submitted by brenda.johnson on
This weeks Brockbank staff spotlights are Mrs. Carolyn Creer and Mrs. Betty Baadsgaard. Mrs. Carolyn Creer is a third grade teacher at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork and have two sons and one daughter. All of their children have attended Brockbank, in fact Carolyn is teaching her youngest son, Ty, this year. Carolyn likes running, softball, traveling, watching her son play ball, and reading. She says she loves history and always wants to learn more about different time periods. Some of her favorites are the color purple, french fries, licorice, the musical group - Lady Antebellum, movie, "Top Gun", and eating at Olive Garden. Carolyn's favorite vacation destination is to Hawaii (which sounds really good right about now). Something she said no one knows about her is that she got a wreckless driving ticket the same day she got her learners permit (she isn't telling why?) Carolyn has been teaching for 24 years, she has been at Brockbank for the past 12 years and before that she taught 12 years at Brookside in Springville. At Brookside she was a social studies specialist and taught fourth and fifth grades. At Brockbank she has taught first, second, and third grade. Carolyn is a great teacher and we are so happy to have her at our school and part of our staff. Mrs. Betty Baadsgaard is a planning time technician at Brockbank teaching PE. She and her husband live in Lake Shore and have two sons and two daughters. Betty likes scrapbooking, riding horses, watching her kids play sports, and just being with her family. Her favorites are anything chocolate, eating Mexican food, she likes all colors (no favorite), George Strait, the TV series "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman", and the Denver Broncos. Her favorite vacation destination is to go to Tahiti. Something Betty said no one knows about her is that when she was two years old she had open heart surgery. Betty has been part of our staff for the past three years; two years as a PE planning time technician / lunch time supervisor and one year as a kindergarten classroom aide. Before coming to work at Brockbank (officially, where she gets to earn a paycheck) Betty was part of our Brockbank family. Betty is a very active PTA mom (all of her children attended elementary school at Brockbank) and has served in many PTA positions (most recently she was the PTA secretary), she also served on the community council committee. Betty is a sweet person and is so fun to be around! We love having her as part of our staff!
