Brockbank Staff Spotlights

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

This weeks Brockbank staff spotlights are Mrs. Janna Runolfson and Mr. Craig Draper.

Mrs. Janna Runolfson is a first grade teacher here at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork and they have three sons and one daughter. Janna likes reading, running, hiking, quilting, and eating peanut M&Ms (which is her favorite candy). Some of her other favorites are the color pink, Bryan Adams' song "Summer of 69", the book - "The Magic of Ordinary Days", the movie - "North and South", and eating at Beechers (which is located in Seattle and is famous for their macaroni and cheese). Janna likes sports especially soccer, football, hockey, and baseball. Her teams are the Seattle Mariners and the BYU Cougars. Her vacation destination is to go to England. Something Janna said no one knows about her is that she is from Washington and comes from a family of only girls, no brothers. Janna has an older sister and a younger sister. This is Janna's 9th year here at Brockbank teaching first grade. She is a fabulous teacher, friend, and person, and her students are so happy she is their teacher!

Mr. Craig Draper is the custodian here at Brockbank. Him and his wife live in Payson and have two sons and two daughters. His wife, Annette, is the librarian at Wilson Elementary in Payson. Craig likes golfing, horse racing, and watching his grandkids play softball, baseball, and basetkball. Besides Payson, Craig has also lived in Spanish Fork, Salem, and Hurricane. His favorites are the color green, peanut clusters, the group Led Zepplin, the movie, "Dances With Wolves", Mexican food, and Pepsi. Craig's favorite vacation destination he said would be to anywhere with a race track (horse). He said something no one knows about him is that his family had race horses and he helped to train them. Something else no one may know about him is that he referees Payson city sports (baseball, basketball, etc.). Craig has been a custodian at Brockbank for the past five years before coming here he worked at Geneva Steel for 32 years, was unemployed for 2 years, and was the custodian at Spanish Fork Junior High and Payson Junior High. Craig's job is not always easy and we appreciate all he does to keep our school clean! Cleaning bathroom messes, the lunchroom after lunch, and throw-ups is never a fun job and he never complains (at least not a lot) and is always willing to lend a helping hand. We are glad he is part of our staff!
