This week Brockbank is spotlighting Mrs. Laurel Koyle and Mrs. Jill Blanton.

Mrs. Laurel Koyle teaches second grade at Brockbank. Her and her husband live in Spanish Fork, and have two sons, two daughters, and sixteen grandchildren. Laurel likes listening to country music, playing the piano, reading, the musical theater (Broadway), traveling (this past summer she spent 2 weeks in Israel and Jordan), and most of all spending time with her family. She said she likes to cook when she has to, but loves to eat out; two of her favorite places to eat are Olive Garden and Joe Vera's. Laurel favorite color is pink, Peanut M&M's, Snickers, Mexican Food, Diet Coke with Lime, cookies, and the movie, "Beauty and the Beast". She enjoys baseball and watching the Spanish Fork Dons. Her favorite vacation destinations are Snowbird and Hawaii. Laurel has taught second grade at Brockbank for 26 years. Before coming to Brockbank, Laurel taught preschool for 5 years, and first grade for 2 years at the Lake Shore School (it has since been torn down). Laurel is a true "Brockbank Bronco" not only because she has been teaching here so long, but also because when she was a child she attended Brockbank. In fact, her dad was her teacher in fifth grade. Something Laurel said no one knows about her is that her dad taught her how to fly an airplane by herself before she learned to drive a car! Amazing! Brockbank is lucky to have such a wonderful person and teacher on our staff!

Mrs. Jill Blanton is a lunch lady at Brockbank. Her and her husband live in Santaquin. Jill has one son, two daughters, one step-son, and two step-daughters. Jill loves dogs, quilting, listening to country music, the color purple, Almond Joys, the movie, "Marley & Me", and eating at Red Lobster. She likes football, especially the Denver Broncos! If she was to go on a vacation she wants to go to Acapulco, Mexico. Jill said something no one knows about her is that she is a grandma of two grandchildren! This is Jill's second year as a lunch lady at Brockbank; before coming here, she was a lunch lady for one year at Payson Junior High and one year at Payson High School. Brockbank students are glad she is there to help them and enjoy seeing her everyday when they get their lunches. Lunch ladies are sometimes over looked as staff members but not here we are happy to have Jill at our school and part of our staff!
