Brockbank Staff Spotlight!

Submitted by brenda.johnson on
This weeks Brockbank staff spotlights are Mrs. Martha Heward and Mrs. Frances Dyches. Mrs. Martha Heward is the ESL (English as a Second Language) technician here at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork. They have two sons, both of which have or currently attend Brockbank. Martha likes simple crafts, scrapbooking, but most of all playing and spending time with her family. Some of her favorites are the color blue, chocolate candy, chocolate malts, the book, "Rikki Tikki Tembo", chick flick movies, volleyball, and BYU. Martha's favorite vacation destination is to Wyoming! Something Martha said no one knows about her is that her family owns a ranch! Thirteen years ago, Martha was a subtitute teacher for a year in Wyoming and Idaho. Three years ago, she gave up being a stay-at-home Mom and came to work at Brockbank. The first year she was a STAR tutor and she is currently on her second year as the ESL technician. Martha is a great addition to our staff and we are so glad to have her on our team! Mrs. Frances Dyches is a planning time technician teaching computers. She also does recess duty. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork (she is originally from Salt Lake City). They have one son and one daughter. Frances likes camping, four wheeling, scrapbooking, making watch bands, crocheting, needlepoint, and going to movies with friends. Some of her favorites are the color magenta, any chocolate candy (but her favorite is Milk Chocolate Truffles), singer Rick Springfield, romance novels, the movie, "The Vow", Mexican food, and eating at Bajio. Frances' dream vacation destinations is to go on a cruise or go to Hawaii (better yet why not a cruise to Hawaii??). Something Frances said no one knows about her is that she has five names, her real name is Francesca Maria Johanna DeJong Dyches! (Wow!) Frances has been at Brockbank going on seven years, she taught two years as the PE technician and is on her fifth year as the computer technician. Before coming to Brockbank she was a teacher's aide for third-grade in Salt Lake City. Frances always has a possitive attitude and is always trying to find new exciting things to teach the students about computers, we are so lucky to have her on our staff! She is a great friend to everyone!
