Brockbank Holds Annual Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser

Submitted by brenda.johnson on

Brockbank PTA along with Brockbank faculty recently held their fifth annual walk-a-thon fundraiser. It was a great success with lots of support from the students and parents. Students, along with many of their parents, walked laps around a track set up on the grass field as a way to exercise and raise money for the school. The funds will purchase projectors and document cameras for classrooms. The school currently has three classrooms set up with projectors and document cameras, and their goal is to equip every classroom with those items. We will fund as many classrooms as we can each year until our goal is met. Projectors and document cameras allow teachers to use technology to create a more interactive classroom. Prizes, pizza, and treats were available throughout the night.

Thanks to Nebo Credit Union, Gary's Meats, Dr. Karl M. Francis, Art City Dental, Barber Welding, and Circle V Meats for donating money so that we were able to get large blow-up slides that the students could enjoy taking turns on. Brockbank Elementary would also like to thank the many other businesses that were generous in their support to help our students. They were; Walmart, Sam's Club, MVP Sports, Bank of American Fork, Macey's, Cal Ranch, Cary's Design & Floral, Hickory Kist, KFC, Rocky's Tire, Big O Tire, Wells Fargo, Bajio, Seagull Book, Fresh Market, Magleby's Fresh, and One Man Band. Also a big thank you to the PTA for organizing this event and for all the volunteers, parents and teachers, that helped make the walk-a-thon a success!
