Brockbank fourth-graders went on a field trip to, This Is The Place Heritage Park. There students were able to take part in a ‘hands-on learning’ experience that complements the state curriculum for fourth-grade Utah History. Students participated in "life in Pioneer Times" which consisted of pushing a handcart. The students discovered what it was like to come West with a handcart.  They got to ride the train around the park and visit the Native American Village. The students learned about the 5 tribes that were in the Utah territory in 1847.  The Shoshone, Goshute, Paiute, Ute, and Navajo tribes all lived in this area.  They lived in caves, teepees, hogans, and wiki-ups.It was a fun field trip and the students really enjoyed it!
