Brockbank first-graders recently finished reading the book, "Turkey Trouble" written by Wendi J. Silvano. In the story a turkey is in trouble, bad trouble, it is almost Thanksgiving and he is the main course. Farmer Jake is looking for him. Turkey has an idea what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like another animal instead? First-graders then got to use their imaginations and pick a disguise for Turkey so Farmer Jake won't recognize him.

Kamas Isaac picked a tiger for his turkey. He said on his paper, "I could be a tiger. I could run fast. Grr Grr," said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a tiger."

Rhett Walburger picked a cowboy for his turkey. He said, "I could be a cowboy. I could rope. "Yee Haw Hee Haw" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cowboy."

Rexi Rozema picked a cheetah for her yurkey. She said, "I could be a cheetah. I could run fast. "Grr Grr", said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cheetah."

Kaitlyn Walker picked a cat for her turkey. She said, "I could be a cat. I could purr purr. "Meow Meow" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer. "It must be a cat."

Myles Porter picked a kid for his turkey. He said, I could be a kid. I could play. "Hi Hi" said the turkey. "Oh!" said the farmer, "It must be a kid".
