Hello, Brockbank Families!

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break!  It was a nice week to spend with family and friends, but it was great to come back to school and see all the fun, little faces come through the front doors of Brockbank, this morning!

We have lots going on over the next few weeks and we are excited for the field trips, assemblies, and activities that will be taking place here, at Brockbank!

We want to thank our wonderful PTA for this upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week.  They have gone to so much work and I want them to know how much we all appreciate their hard work!  The theme this year is "Super Heroes" and all the teachers have a fun door decoration that goes along with this theme!   We also had a wonderful breakfast this morning, and I know they have planned some great things over the next few days for our teachers.  I want to express my appreciation and love for our outstanding staff!  They are all great and they love your children and work hard to help them all excel!   They are truly Super Heroes in my eyes with exceptional strength, perseverance, and determination!

We want to remind you to help your child with his/her reading goal and pledges for the PTA fundraiser!  This is a win-win event, where your child is encouraged to read while helping our school raise money for the PTA!  This fundraiser will help the PTA with books for our school, Dads and doughnuts, activities for the students, and help for our teachers!  Thanks so much for your support!

This Thursday, we will also be having the drawing for the Champion's Challenge!  Those students who have turned in their reading calendars and met their goal will be able to have their names submitted into a drawing.  Those that are drawn will be able to attend the Champion's Challenge Rodeo.  Two of those lucky winners will receive a pair of Justin Cowboy Boots.  We appreciate Diamond Fork Riding Club for sponsoring this great event!

We want you to all be aware that our Year-End-Testing is taking place and I am proud of our students and the work they are doing.  I hope you will encourage your child to do his/her best, and not worry about the testing, but help them understand that we all learn from the results of these tests.  It helps us as a school to see what direction we need to go and how we can help our students.  Various testing will continue throughout May and is scheduled by the teachers at various times over the next few weeks.

Thanks so much for your support!  I love working with the students, here at Brockbank and appreciate all they do to help our school be the best!  You, parents, are amazing and your continued help means so much to our staff and to me!
Mrs. Nelson
