I hope you had a wonderful Fall Break! We couldn't have had better weather to do fun things together as family and friends.
This week our BFF theme focuses on integrity. We are talking about being honest and always telling the truth, even if it means we have consequences. I am always so impressed with students that will tell the truth when they know they have made a mistake. I also appreciate students that will forgive so easily! Our students are surely amazing!

October 29th will be our SEP Conferences.
*Please go to the Brockbank website and sign up for a time with your child's teacher. This link
will be removed October 26th. Parents will need to call the office to set up a conference after that.

*These conferences will take place via ZOOM!
*Each teacher will send his/her specific ZOOM link to you for the conference. Please watch for those as it gets closer to the 29th. If you have not used ZOOM before, you may want to try this link and set up your account.

*When you sign in for the SEP Conference, you will be in a "waiting room." Your child's teacher
will let you in when he/she is ready.

*If you have more than one child, please do not sign up for back to back times. Please allow
yourself at least 10 minutes between each conference.
*Your child's teacher will be sending home your child's report card and possibly other work/reports for your child. Make sure you have these reports with you for the conference. If you would rather come in person and visit with your child's teacher, you will need to contact him/her and make a separate appointment. Thank you!

I hope you are all filling in the bright green Box Top form with lots of Box Tops! Our awesome PTA is challenging our students to bring these forms back to school, filled up, by October 26th.

Box Tops help our school earn money for great things, like our water fountains, that also fill up water bottles. Box Top money helped purchase the marquee! Thanks to our PTA for ways to
support our students!

This year grades 1-6 will celebrate Halloween on October 29th. Kindergarten classes will celebrate Wednesday, October 28th. We will not be having a parade and our teachers will be in charge of any type of party/activities. Our wonderful PTA will be bringing in a special treat for our little goblins!
Please remember our policy for costumes:
*No blood or gore
*No scary, bloody, vulgar costumes
*No Halloween masks-just our safe, cloth masks
*Face paint is fine, but please help out your child where he/she will be wearing a mask-it may get messy for him/her.

*Dress policy is still mandated.

*We are having quite a number of students that are forgetting their masks. Please make sure your child has a clean, cloth mask each day when he/she comes to school.
*Please remember that if you bring lunch to your child that you need to bring lunch just for your child. With this pandemic, we cannot share pizza, or other lunches.
*Please have your child only bring water in his/her water bottle. Please do not send juice, pop, or Gatorade.

Thank you, parents, for following the laws and for driving slowly and carefully when picking up your child. I see parents slowing down and being considerate of other drivers while picking up
Please also be aware of the following:
*Please do not flip a U-Turn on 300 West. In the morning or afternoon, there are too many students that are walking and crossing the streets, and too many parents driving in and out of the school grounds, that this is an unsafe practice. Please follow the laws!

*Please cross at the intersections and do not have your child cross with you in the middle of the road. Please be an example of safety!
*If you park in the parking lot, please get out of your car and go and wait for your child so he/she is not crossing alone in front of buses and cars.
