Hello, Brockbank Families!

I hope all is going well for you and your family! We miss our students and appreciate the great work they are doing! Thank you so much for all you are doing to help your child continue on with his/her education. You have all been so positive and have communicated with us and with your teachers with patience and kindness. We are all learning and it really does take a village and a lot of technology to raise a child!

I wish you and your family the very best through all of this and hope that you all stay well!

A message from Mrs. Nelson to the BEST Students Ever!

Spring Break-April 6-10

We will still be having Spring Break as was originally scheduled. There will be NO At Home Learning and no class assignments given during this week. Enjoy the break! You deserve it!

At Home Learning will resume Monday, April 13th.

We are very excited to have a special week, the week of April 13-17th! This will be The POWER WITHIN WEEK! We will have a special theme each day and we would LOVE to have students post pictures and tag our Brockbank Instagram account, @brockbank_broncos, of how they participated this week! Here is the schedule:

Monday - Power to be unique - crazy hair and sock day! BFF lesson that will be sent out to parents!

Tuesday- Power to develop a talent - share video of talent

Wednesday - Power to be fearless - wear wild animal print

Thursday - Power to be appreciative - sprinkle gratitude everywhere

Friday - Power to be a friend - find a creative way to reach out to a friend or be a good friend to a sibling, parent, etc.

You are welcome to post pictures on Instagram each day to celebrate The Power Within that our wonderful students have! Let's share and celebrate together!

Playground Safety

For your child's safety, please try to keep your children away from the school playgrounds during this school dismissal. Mr. Clark has cleaned them and sanitized them, however this can't be done daily. We want to keep as many children/adults germ free as possible! Thank you!

Packet Pick-up Schedule

We will continue to have packet pick-up on Fridays, from 12:30-3:30. PLEASE make sure that you have received communication from your child's teacher letting you know whether or not you need packets. We will most likely have packets outside under the awning this Friday. This way you may drive up in the bus lane and pick up your child's packet without needing to come inside. We will send out a reminder on Thursday!

Other Resources

Parents, please check out our Brockbank Website where you will find links to help your child with our specialty classes. There are some great ideas if you would like your child to have experiences with art, music, computers, and PE. Our librarian has also given great ideas for reading and using SORA! Please check those out!

School Meals

Brockbank is a "FREE" meal site, which means that ANY child from the age of 0-18 may stop by the school between the hours of 9:00-11:30 and pick up breakfast and lunch. CHILDREN MUST BE PRESENT IN ORDER TO GET THE MEALS.

Daily Schedule

You may want to think about a schedule for your child as we begin our At Home Learning. This will help your child continue a formal schedule as if he/she were in school. It will also help organize time for devices and internet use if you have multiple children. An example might be:

9:00-10:00-morning walk or exercise

10:00-11:00- At Home Learning

11:00-12:00-Creative time (specialty activities located on the Brockbank Web page from our specialty teachers).

12:30-1:00-chore time! Helping around the house!

1:00-2:30-Quiet time-reading, puzzles, etc.

2:30-4:00-At Home Learning

4:00-5:00-Fresh Air time-get out and breathe in some fresh air!

Of course, these are just ideas to help out at home!

Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for all you are doing! We are here to help! We love and appreciate you and your child! Give them our BEST!
