Hello, Brockbank Families!

December is here and we are already excited for the upcoming events of this month! We have a lot planned and we are looking forward to sharing the Spirit of Christmas with our students!

MAKE A CONNECTION

We are learning more and more that we are losing connections with our youth! With texting, social media and such, we are losing some of the face to face interactions and conversations that are so vital to the development of our children! Each week I hope to add just a small reminder to make a connection with your child! Every little connection you make with your child helps him/her build a foundation of emotional, mental, physical and social stability.

This week's connection: Share some of the school traditions that you experienced when you were your child's age! I remember making poinsettias with a lot of glitter and glue, and singing around the Christmas tree!

PTA Gift Trees

Our wonderful PTA has made fun Christmas Trees and placed them outside of each classroom. On the trees are ornaments that teachers have written ideas for gifts that students can give for their teacher or for the class. If you need ideas for Christmas gifts, have your child take an ornament off of your child's teacher's tree. Thanks to our awesome PTA!

District Art Specialist at Brockbank

This week we are so thrilled to have our District Art Specialist, Christine Palmer, here working with our 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teachers and students! Ms. Palmer is teaching valuable art lessons to help our students have a love and interest in the Arts!

3rd Grade Christmas Program

We are excited to have our 3rd Grade Christmas program that will be Tuesday, December 10th, at 10:00 for the school, and 6:00 for parents and guests! This will be a great program to get us in the holiday mood!

Orchestra Performance

Our early morning orchestra class is going to perform a special Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 17th, at 6:00 pm in the gym! We are proud of our students that have been working so hard to learn how to play their instruments! We look forward to their performance!

Holiday Break-December 23rd-January 1st! School will resume January 2nd, 2020.

Friday, December 20th is a full day of school!

Safety-PLEASE drive slowly! PLEASE do not flip U-turns as you pick your child up on 300 West. PLEASE use the crosswalks! PLEASE park in a parking stall and get out of your car and get your child. PLEASE tell others that are picking up your child where to go.

MATH LAB

We are starting up our Math Lab in the mornings, before school! We have two tutors that will be here at 8:30 to help any students that need help with math concepts, assignments, and homework. The Math Lab is in the library and all students are welcome to come!
